Welcome to the Windmill Preschool in Thaxted

We are a popular and friendly charity-run preschool caring for children from the age of approximately 2½ until they move on to primary school.

Our session times are currently 9am - 12 noon Monday to Thursday, with lunch time sessions until 2.00pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - these lunch time sessions are for children over 3 years old.  Friday is 9am to 2pm and is only offered to children preparing for the next primary school intake - "rising 5's".

Our aim is to provide the children in our care with a safe, secure, warm and happy environment in which they can enjoy a wide variety of play experiences.

We are committed to making preschool fun, where “play” is the key word in helping the children to develop their skills and knowledge at their own pace without feeling under any pressure.
